CTIA WIRELESS ANNOUNCES E-TECH AWARD WINNERS
10 Award Categories and a “Best in Show” Honor Consumer Applications, Hardware,
Network Infrastructure and Enterprise Solutions
ORLANDO, March 28, 2007 – CTIA WIRELESS 2007®, the world’s largest event for the wireless industry, today announced the winners of the Second Annual Emerging Technology (E-Tech) Awards honoring products and innovations in consumer applications, hardware, network infrastructure and enterprise solutions. CTIA WIRELESS takes place March 27-29, 2007 at the Orange County Convention Center.
Nearly 250 submissions were received for this year’s E-Tech Awards. Judges evaluated each entry on innovation, functionality, wow factor, importance of technology and ease of use/implementation.
The 2007 CTIA E-Tech Award winners include:
Best in Show Award, as voted upon by CTIA WIRELESS attendees, went to Alltel Wireless’ Celltop an exclusive, patent-pending technology that provides customers an easier way to access, manage and organize a wide range of information already available on their Alltel Wireless phones. Celltop was submitted as a consumer application under the Mobile Entertainment/Mobile Community category.
