Dr. Sachio Semmoto, PhD
Dr. Semmoto is a member of the Transclick Board of Advisors and is Chairman and CEO of e-Access Japan. He has also served on the Board of Directors of Softbank and Sega Corporation. He was an official representative of Japan to ITU on optical fiber and ISDN. He was a Managing Director of Kyocera Corporation in Kyoto. He co-founded DDI Corporation and held a position as Senior Vice-President for seven years. He is the cofounder of Personal Handy-Phone System (PHS) Company and the President of DDI Pocket Telephone. He is a lecturer at Harvard, Stanford, and Northwestern universities, as well as Cambridge University in the UK. In 1996, Dr. Semmoto was a professor of entrepreneurial management and information technology at the Graduate School of Business Administration of Keio University. In 1997, he was a visiting research fellow at Stanford University. He is a Fellow at the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a member of various public and private committees. Dr. Semmoto has written numerous publications on telecommunication technologies and high technology management. He has a BSc in Electronics Engineering from Kyoto University and a PhD in Electrical Engineering from the University of Florida.
